The Doobie Doubles is a vibrant tribute band that celebrates the timeless music of the Doobie Brothers. Formed by Pete Hopkins, the band emerged from his love of the Doobie Brothers’ iconic sound. Pete knew he wanted to create a group that captured the essence of the Doobie Brothers’ spirit, offering fans a faithful recreation of their greatest hits.

Pete began assembling the band by reaching out to friends and placing ads online. Ray Bergstrom, a longtime friend and seasoned guitarist, was the first to join, bringing his deep knowledge of classic rock to the table. The band’s rhythm section found its foundation with drummer Mike Leffler, whom Pete met while booking rehearsal space. Their instant connection secured Mike as an integral part of the group.

Next, Rick Erbe answered Pete’s ad, joining as a percussionist whose precision added a new dimension to the sound. Bassist Sheldon Bonada and keyboardist Daniel Osterstock were the final members to complete the lineup, each adding their distinct musical flair to round out the band’s dynamic ensemble.

The Doobie Doubles pride themselves on delivering high-energy performances of the Doobie Brothers' most beloved hits, including "Listen to the Music," "Black Water," "What a Fool Believes" and "China Grove."
